Call for submissions.
Our Own Voice is looking for articles (poetry, short story and essays) for a Retrospective on the Martial Law Years (1972-1986) for our 25th issue. We are focusing on personal experiences, reflections on the times. Less political treatises and more on personal memoirs, observations, family divisiveness over the issue, prison experience, escape stories, experiencing martial law abroad, and from the experience of a Metro Manila Aide, etc.

We are developing a bibliography for the issue and are particularly interested in books published during that period written in Pilipino, Bisaya, Ilokano etc. The published book can cover any subject related to the Martial Law era and may extoll or criticize the regime. These will be included in the general bibliography for the issue.
