LETTER - INVITATION

Once again Davao will be teeming with sights and sounds as we celebrate the renowned Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival on August 8 – 19, 2007 with the theme “Lumadnong Kagikan, Mabungahong Kinaiyahan, Gasa sa Kahitas-an”.

One of the events of the festival will be the Sayaw Mindanaw, Isang Pagpupugay. This special event is aptly dubbed as Homage to Mindanao Dance Traditions. Some two hundred dance artists and educators shall gather together in a three-day Dance Congress comprising of lecture-forum, workshop-demonstrations and creative showcasing of dance compositions.

For this reason, we would like to invite you to attend the 3-day dance congress on August 15 – 17, 2007 at the CAP Mini-Auditorium. We will only be entertaining the first 100 delegates on first come first serve basis. Deadline for confirmation will be on August 10, 2007. The congress is FREE of CHARGE. However, for out-of-town participants, you wil take care of your transportation, food and accomodation during your entire stay for the congress.

We would also like to invite your constituents to come and watch the creative showcasing of dance compositions on the same date mentioned above. The performance showcases can create an intellectually stimulating environment that accelerates cultural appreciation, foster a strong sense of community and nurture our young people imbued with knowledge, skills and attitudes based on a socio-cultural precept and to help promote Davao as a regional destination for tourism and investment.
